About us
Bridging the gap between people and the support around them.
Open Bridge Community CIC (OBC) is a community support and connection organisation helping people access the support, opportunities and community connections available to them.
Who we are
Listening first, then connecting
Through one-to-one support, we listen to individual needs and provide practical guidance, information, signposting and supported referrals. We help people navigate existing local services and connect with the organisations best placed to support them.
We particularly aim to reach people who may face social, economic or practical barriers to accessing support and opportunities.
Our mission
Supported, connected and empowered
Our mission is to help people feel supported, connected and empowered by making it easier to access the services, opportunities and community connections available to them.
Through one-to-one support, practical guidance and community activities, we help individuals and families find the right support, build confidence, develop skills, improve wellbeing and feel a stronger sense of belonging.
We believe strong communities are built when people can access the right support, take part, contribute and feel valued.
Our vision
Communities where everyone can take part
We want to see communities where people:
- Feel connected rather than isolated
- Can find and access the support they need
- Have opportunities to build confidence and develop skills
- Feel welcomed, valued and able to participate
- Have opportunities to contribute to their community
- Can turn local ideas and strengths into positive action
We believe stronger communities are created through connection, participation and opportunity.
Our role
We do not duplicate existing services. Our role is to bridge the gap by helping people find the right support, access it and benefit from it.
Our people
